NEUMA DEVELOPMENTS
Ok, its been a while, so we've decided to take this opportunity to update the Neuma Tattoo System....
1st: DISPOSABLE HOSES!!! We are making a new hose design. A few goals will be reached in doing so. The new air hoses for the neuma machines will be half the diameter of the old one, as well as half the weight, making the 1.5 ounce Neuma even lighter and easier to use. Also, the hoses will be press-fit into both the Neuma itself, and the regulator(s), which means that spools of tubing (at a very low cost) can be cut to each artists specific needs, and more importantly, thrown away after being used!!! Spending only pennies for the material while ELIMINATING that last chance of cross contamination! Now everything in the Neuma System from needle tip to regulator output is either disposable or auto-clavable!!! Very exciting.
2nd. NEW REGULATORS!
This is the best part of this news... The new regulator will be a table-top box, instead of the tool box mounted regulator (still offered). The new regulator will have an auto-purge mode with the ability to add an external water bottle for condensation, making maintenance as simple as emptying a water bottle. There will be 4 ports on the new regulator. 4 output ports. These ports will be used as different machine setups, which can all be plugged in at once going to as many as 4 Neuma Tattoo Machines. Each of these ports will be press-in fittings to ensure ease of use. Each of these ports will also have a new an innovative air-regulating product, a 2-in-1 gauge/pressure dial regulator. So each of the (up to) 4 Neuma Tattoo Machines can be preset by the artist and dedicated to different machines/needle groupings, etc. For example Machine #1 is your liner, Machine #2 is your 7 round, Machine #3 is your 7 mag, and Machine #4 is your 13 mag. All of these machines will be plugged in using disposable tubing during the tattoo. Each machine will have its own regulator that will be set for optimal use of the specified method being used, and will not change unless the artist decides to change it. The hoses come in different colors, so you can color-code your machines, like yellow for liner, orange for shader, etc. There will be a selector knob on one side of the regulator that will be used to select which machine the artist desires to use at that stage of the tattoo. The other machines will not operate while the selected machine is on. There will also be an auxiliary on/off switch on the regulator. New low-pressure regulators will also be used to enable very fine-tuning of the psi being fed to the Neuma Tattoo Machine.
#3. NEW COMPRESSORS There are some new compressors in the catalog now. There are some smaller ones as well as some shop size compressors that can run as many as 7 artists, without creating a noise-pollution issue. These compressors are what is being used in dental offices and hospitals, and much more. They are the leading compressors available on the market. Clean, dry air with powder-coated tanks so they wont rust. These compressors have a 100% duty cycle and will never overheat. Factory warranted for a year, and maintenance and or service is absolutely minimal. There are also some new cabinet-ed compressors for those who want to invest in hospital-grade compressors for as few as 1 or as many as 7 artists, that are hardly audible and add a very classy and sophisticated look to any tattoo shop. Available in many sizes.
#4. FOOTSWITCHES Weve been testing a footswitch, and we feel that it is a good addition to the Neuma Tattoo Machine system, so we decided to give Neuma users the option of using a footswitch. High-Quality, very durable, and wont leak any air for an affordable price. With the addition of this footswitch this makes the switch from traditional tattoo machines to Neuma Tattoo Machines much easier than ever before. The biggest difference is the dramatic weight-loss.
#5. CONVENTION COMPRESSORS: This one is in the works, and I expect it should be ready to go within a month. Lightweight, tankless, bulletproof clean-air compressor that will be briefcase-style and very easily traveled with. Will fit in most rolling tattoo cases. Finally!
So thats where we're at. Anyone using the pre-exsisting hoses and fittings who is interested in updating will be offered one of two things: 1. Return your Neuma and regulator to me and I will update them for you, or 2. a conversion-kit to update your Neuma and regulator to the new specifications.
